What is a Purchase Unit?
A Purchase Unit Code (Purchase Units) is a code used to measure similar health service activity and to count and price the service. A Purchase Unit is component of a classification system that is published in the Purchase Unit Data Dictionary. The Purchase Unit Data Dictionary contains all Purchase Units for health services provided under the Crown Funding Agreement.
